National deputy Leandro Santoro, from Unión por la Patria (UxP), shared a video showing the deficiencies in the subway service of the City of Buenos Aires. Santoro invited citizens to record their own videos to highlight the situation and send them through social media.
In the video, Santoro enters the Carlos Pellegrini station of Line B and shows what he calls "the real subway" in contrast to the image that, according to him, PRO and Jorge Macri try to project. Negative aspects are highlighted such as bad odors, out-of-service escalators, lack of train frequency, and interruptions due to technical faults that force users to walk through the tunnel.
The deputy also mentions that on rainy days the situation worsens due to flooding, the lack of public restrooms, and the high cost of the fare. Santoro refers to a law that establishes the expansion of subway service throughout the city and points out the lack of accessibility in some stations, such as the absence of elevators in seven consecutive stations of Line B.
Additionally, he criticizes the unfulfilled promises of Jorge Macri and Mauricio Macri regarding improvements in the subway service, recalling a supposed purchase of cars and the lack of progress. Santoro concludes by urging citizens to send photos and videos to show the reality of the subway and raise awareness about the conditions in which users travel in Buenos Aires.
